
Scott Zanar
Grade 7 Math and Science Teacher, Support Houseparent
Scott grew up in suburbs near Philadelphia and often spent family vacations camping in the Adirondacks. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Biophysics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2014. At RPI, Scott helped lead the Outing Club by coordinating climbing, camping, canoeing, and biking trips. Upon graduating, he returned to Pennsylvania and began teaching Biology and coaching a competitive climbing team at a local climbing gym. Scott is excited to merge his love of classroom teaching with his love of coaching outdoor sports/activities. He enjoys rock climbing, skiing, trail running, playing board games, and reading in his free time.
