
Savannah Skinner
Grade 8 English, Support Houseparent
Savannah grew up in the Southern Tier of Western New York. She earned her bachelor’s degree in History and English Literature with a concentration in Creative Writing from SUNY Geneseo. She minored in Central and Eastern European Studies and German. In 2019, Savannah completed a master’s degree in Adolescence Education at St. Bonaventure University. She started teaching English at a public school in Western New York. She taught 7th and 8th grade English and advised the high school Creative Writing Club. She is an active member of a weekly poetry workshop. In the summer Savannah lives in the Green Mountains of Vermont, where she is working on a master’s in English Literature at Middlebury College’s Bread Loaf School of English. In her free time she enjoys reading, writing, hiking, cycling, traveling, going to concerts, and attempting DIY projects.
