Samara Landau

Samara graduated from Skidmore College with a major in psychology and a minor in English. At school, she combined her love for child development, neuroscience, and poetry. She is published in various literary magazines; Beyond Words Magazine, Cathexis Northwest Press, HerWords via Black Mountain Press, and others. She has also served on the editorial boards for Beyond Queer Words and Kitchen Table Quarterly. Before arriving at North Country School, Samara worked at the Adirondack Mountain Club and trained as a ballet dancer in Northern New Jersey. During the summer, Samara oversees a division of campers and counselors at Ramapo Country Day Camp, where she attended as a camper. She is passionate about promoting overall well-being, and providing young people with the tools to understand, cope, and communicate about their emotions and have healthy relationships. She is ecstatic to be at NCS, where she can enjoy her interests and creative outlets and share them with her students and community.
