Sierra Grennan


Darkroom and Digital Photography Teacher, Residential Life Coordinator

Sierra came to NCS in the fall of 2010 after graduating from Rochester Institute of Technology with a BFA in Photographic illustration a minor in Art History. As a seasoned member of the art department she currently teaches digital and darkroom photography classes to grades 6-9. Sierra spent six years working as a Camp Counselor for Jericho Recreation Camp in Vermont from 2004 to 2009 where she spent five days a week working with elementary and middle school aged children, teaching them how to cook, directing art activities and coaching sports. In 2015, She hiked all 274 miles of Vermont’s Long Trail with her dog Fischer. Sierra regularly leads weekend outdoor programming for NCS and finds the most joy on multi-night excursions with students. Sierra currently spends her Summer photographing with medium format color film, gardening, reading as many books as possible and section hiking the Appalachian Trail.
