
Aniella Day
Grade 6 and 7 English Teacher, Support Houseparent
Aniella received her bachelor’s degree in English from Oberlin College in 2022. At Oberlin, she also minored in Creative Writing, Rhetoric & Composition, and Gender, Sexuality, and Feminist Studies. She received a concentration in Education Studies and participated in many student-teaching experiences. She has taught dance at Deerfield Academy Summer Arts Camp for two years, student taught at Needham High School, and participated in a Residency Program at Oberlin Middle School teaching poetry lessons to 6th graders. Her English Capstone focused on making the English classroom more inclusive by applying concepts of Cognitive Linguistics. Her teaching is focused on ideas of confronting biases and being mindful of ways that Whiteness reproduces itself as a standard. At Oberlin, she worked as an Executive Functioning Tutor for her peers and a Sexual Harm Information Liaison. She loves her family and traveling to Disney World with them, and her corgi, James.
