At North Country School, we believe that all students should be able to participate in everything we offer. Therefore, we have adopted a comprehensive tuition model that greatly reduces the amount of extra fees that we ask families to pay throughout the year.

In addition to providing excellent classroom instruction, as well as housing and farm-to-table meals, our comprehensive tuition includes all of the following: weekend and residential life activities, field trips, professional ski/snowboard instruction, lift tickets to Whiteface Mountain, horseback riding, private music lessons, books and school supplies, laundry services, athletics, access to our on-campus nurses and counselor, art supplies, technology fees, school-assigned Chromebook, and use of specialized outdoor gear (rock climbing equipment, ice skates, cross-country skis, etc). Please note, all financial aid applications are due on February 1, 2022, so we encourage all families to file their tax returns as early as possible.

Domestic Boarding Students: $73,500
Domestic 5-Day Boarding Students: $56,600
International Boarding Students: $79,500
Day Students: $25,600

Due to a deeply held belief in the value of a diverse community, North Country School offers a robust financial aid program. In a given year, approximately 35% of our students receive aid. Need-based financial support is funded by North Country School’s private endowment and generous donations from alumni, families, and friends of the school. While NCS’ funds are made available to as many qualified students as possible, we are not always able to accommodate a family’s entire need. Please note, all financial aid applications are due on February 1, 2022, so we encourage all families to file their tax returns as early as possible.

TO APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID:

  1. Complete the School and Student Services (SSS) Parent Financial Statement (PFS). When asked for a school code from SSS, the North Country School code is 5386.
  2. After completing the PFS, SSS analyzes the data and identifies an estimated family contribution toward tuition. North Country School uses this information as a guide to determine need-based financial aid awards.
  3. A complete SSS application includes the PFS as well as tax documents (and schedules if applicable) from the current, or prior tax year.
