APPLICATIONS


North Country School accepts applications on a rolling basis.

  • There is a $50 application fee for domestic students; $100 for international students
  • If space is available, qualified students can enroll midyear
  • We accept applications for five-day boarding

We recommend that families complete the application process by March 1. After March 1, we continue to accept applications, space permitting.

A completed application includes:

  • The application form
  • Transcript
  • Recommendations: English Teacher, Math Teacher, Principal/Counselor
  • An on-campus or virtual interview
  • A graded paper
  • SSAT/ISEE test scores for grades 7-9
  • A neuropsychological evaluation, if applicable

APPLICATION STEPS

Step One:

To begin the application process, create a Family Portal profile, then complete the online application. Save your log-in information as you will need to return to the Family Portal throughout the application and enrollment process.

Step Two:

After submitting the application, return to the Family Portal and click on “Continue Admissions Process” (blue button in example below) to access the application checklist.

Step Three:

To submit English Teacher, Math Teacher, and Principal/Counselor recommendations, click on the appropriate blue “Send Request” button.

You will be asked to enter the contact information for each person writing a recommendation. The item will appear as checked once the recommendation has been submitted to the Admission Office.

To submit grades/transcript:

  1. Download the “Request for School Records” form by clicking on the link.
  2. Sign the form and submit it to your child’s school.
  3. Once the admissions office has received the transcript, the Grades/Transcript item will appear as checked.

You are also welcome to upload electronic copies of the school records by clicking on the “upload” button or you can email them to the Admission Office at .

Step Four:

If applicable, the following items may be uploaded directly into the Family Portal or emailed to the admissions office.

  • Standardized Test Scores
  • Educational testing/counseling documents
  • ESL test scores
  • Copy of passport page (required for international students)

CAMPUS VISITS

Prospective families are encouraged to schedule a campus visit or virtual interview.

Visits are usually scheduled Monday through Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. For more information, please see the Visit Campus page.
