In grades 7-9, our placed-based, exploratory curriculum enables students to begin the process of understanding who they are and who they want to become as learners and people. Be it conducting a chicken harvest lab in biology class, expressing themselves through photography or performing arts, or exploring humanity through an interdisciplinary approach to history and English, our students develop an awareness of themselves and their place in our NCS community.
Indeed, community continues to guide their learning process beyond the classroom, and allows our students to express themselves and their interests. The experience outside the conventional walls of an academic setting also helps to drive and support each child’s unique educational journey. In turn, our students grow beyond the comforts of our beautiful and nurturing campus to become resilient and mindful learners and leaders for years to come, contributing to the world and their communities.
